QUOTE OF THE NOW

"Our life evokes our character. You find out more about yourself as you go on. That's why it's good to be able to put yourself in situations that will evoke your higher nature rather than your lower. 'Lead us not into temptation.'" Joseph Campbell

Sewing and Flea Poop

Hallos! Been doing my usual crafting and tv watching, not much blogging. Here's an update...

Decided to return home in early May. So now only two months til I leave. Eek!

After watching and lurving I Claudius, I went on to Rome (lurv) and rewatching Game of Thrones. Nothing like a little back stabbing and war mongering while crocheting a dainty scarf.

My friend Mme Poisson gave me a different sewing machine, a cute blue 60s Singer. Works great. I made little baggies for the various feet...

Then I took a table cloth I'd bought for its retro pattern, even though holey and stained, and made a cover. Matches perfectly! I even quilted it.

The machine's name is Hellosweetie. Cause like River Song, I turn up randomly at my sewing table, but always enthusiastically. Hello Sweetie!

That's my uninteresting life for now. Oh, but Haley has fleas! I can't see them, but she has flea poopoo in her fur. I didn't realize this was a hazard for indoor cats. Hmph!

"There's only room for one sweetie in this town!"

I don't think I posted a song for this month's countdown to return home. Here's one that keeps coming on the radio... makin' me sad!

How exciting, only two more months! Yay!

I love your little blue sewing machine. She's so cute. And that's a truly wonderful cover for it. I love vintage table cloths and you always can find something cool to do even with stained ones. Nice work!

That machine is to die for! Also, I am highly smitten with your fantastic quilted cover. Vintage for the win!!!

Today we worked more on our hearts. My 4s and 5s sewed their heart together to form a hanging pocket. They were so proud of themselves (and so was I!) Tomorrow we will add glitter to make them sparkle!best beginner sewing machine
