Fave Music in 2011
"And Your Bird Can Sing" - Beatles - Except for the Sgt
Pepper album, I'm not a Beatles fan. But my dad tossed a couple albums
like Revolver my way this year, and I immediately took to this
one. Though it made me mental for a good week because I couldn't figure
out which contemporary song it reminded me of. (The Gorillaz' "On
Melancholy Hill," which echoes it.)
"Mushaboom" - Laila Biali - I listened to the radio a lot
this year, when trying to wake up, unloading the dishwasher etc. This is
one of the songs I copped to through CBC. It's a delightful cover of
Feist's original. Delightful I say.
It may be years until the day
My dreams will match up with my pay

I love how Laila gets into the feel of every note of her music. From her barefeet to her fingertips and gorgeous facial expression, she is pure art.
I'll have to re-read your post at home so I can hear the songs. That's the only bad part about exercising in the morning -- I use my breaks to sneak in blog time during my day and can't see the videos.
