QUOTE OF THE NOW

"Our life evokes our character. You find out more about yourself as you go on. That's why it's good to be able to put yourself in situations that will evoke your higher nature rather than your lower. 'Lead us not into temptation.'" Joseph Campbell

Why? Why?

How come people in TV/movies always brush their teeth from side to side, when everyone knows you're supposed to stroke downwards? ...All those actors must have receding gums by now.

LOL! Because no one told the directors, apparently. Who must have receding gums.

And actually, you are supposed to brush in a circular motion. But that requires more attention and effort, so the dentists stopped teaching it. And the electric toothbrushes only go in an up and down motion, so why teach something that they can't do with the toothbrush recommended by most dentists?

LOL ... reminds me of a scene in the Will Ferrell Movie 'Stranger than Fiction' where he's cleaning his teeth!

Great movie BTW if you haven't seen it. I'm not a Will fan, but this one's really good.

@Skye - I was once waiting around for Fernando when he was in a dental assistant program, and I watched a video that showed some kind of zigzag downward motion. It's all very confusing. Why do they torture us so?

@Widders - I've seen it, I remember really liking it!

I was taught to brush in soft circles.

@JJJ - You need to go to Hollywood and spread the word.

They tortures usss because they can't make up their mindsss.

Floss first, or brush first?

To gargle or to not gargle?

Is fluoride OK or a hideous gene-altering poison?

Which toothpaste has the least amount of sugar (or chemical substitute) in it?

I tell you, it's enough to drive a gal to gold fillings - oh noes, don't get me started on fillings!
