QUOTE OF THE NOW

"Our life evokes our character. You find out more about yourself as you go on. That's why it's good to be able to put yourself in situations that will evoke your higher nature rather than your lower. 'Lead us not into temptation.'" Joseph Campbell

Patti Smith: A love song

Oh I forgot to post!

Here's one of Patti Smith's most beautiful songs, written for her deceased husband. The whole album Gone Again came out after the death of her husband, her brother, and some friends/peers.

And in case you need more Patti...

I know you love a good cover: http://youtu.be/RcAerhkRfiQ A great original take on a moldy-oldy!

Did you hear her recent all-cover album? I love that she continues to rock hard while so many of her contemporaries are mellowing out:

I have the album! And to think Mick Jagger, in the 70s, called her a poser. She's so "what you see is what you get." There's no show biz about her at all.
